niko departs OG and starts looking for new home

Danish esports athlete Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen took it to Twitter to announce his readiness to join a new team. The player will not continue to compete for OG, for which he has stood in since February of this year.

Kristensen joined OG in March 2021, but was benched a year later amidst the team's poor performance. After being inactive for eight months, the Dane joined the roster of the European club again, but now as a temporary replacement for Nemanja "nexa" Isaković.

In the first half of this year, OG, together with niko, failed to advance to the playoffs of all big LAN tournament, at which they competed, including ESL Pro League Season 17, IEM Rio 2023, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 and IEM Dallas 2023. Throughout this period, Kristensen filled the IGL role.

Information about niko's departure from OG appeared amidst rumors about the upcoming large-scale restructuring of the European roster. Earlier it became known that Shahar "flameZ" Shushan could also part ways with the team, while insider Aleksey "OverDrive" Biryukov told about Abdul "degster" Gasanov's desire to depart OG.
