Copenhagen Flames beat Astralis in CCT Central Europe Series 4 grand final

Copenhagen Flames have won CCT Central Europe Series 4. The grand final saw the Danish squad defeat their compatriots from Astralis with a 2:1 scoreline – 16:14 on Inferno, 6:16 on Dust2 and 16:14 on Nuke.

Copenhagen Flames were one of the teams that received a direct invitation to the playoffs, where on the way to the final they consecutively knocked out ESTOWNIA, ECLOT and HAVU. Along with the trophy, Thomas "birdfromsky" Due-Frederiksen's men earned $22,000 from a total prize pool of $50,000.

The concluded tournament was of great importance for Astralis in terms of gaining points in the ESL World Ranking, through which invites to IEM Katowice 2023 are handed. As previously reported, the Danish giant has a disputable number of points with Evil Geniuses and paiN, who also attended the North American online event ESEA Cash Cup in order to improve their position on the ranking.
