smooya joins Into the Breach on trial

AWPer Owen "smooya" Butterfield has joined Into the Breach for a one-month trial period, the British club announced on Twitter.

smooya found a new team a few weeks after parting ways with fnatic, who excluded him from the starting five shortly after being eliminated from IEM Katowice 2022. The player joined Into the Breach as a free agent.

Prior to inviting Butterfield, the Into the Breach lineup featured three players. At the same time, the organization also opened up about introducing a fifth member in the near future.

The first event for smooya with the new team will be Pinnacle Cup III, where the Britts will play tomorrow, March 18, and kick things off with a match against MOUZ NXT starting at 16:00 MSK.
