Official: smooya excluded from fnatic main lineup

fnatic have officially announced the benching of Owen "smooya" Butterfield. The press release confirmed the previously published insider information by Dexerto.

The fnatic announcement did not mention specific reasons for the exclusion of the Britt from the starting five. The player himself on his Twitter thanked the club and former teammates for the joint work, adding that top teams cannot function normally in a situation where players treat each other badly.

The vacated place in the fnatic’s main roster will be taken by the club's academy player Iulian "⁠regali⁠" Harjău. The 19-year-old Romanian has been representing the organization's youth team since its inception last summer.

The next matches of fnatic will take place as part of the first open qualifier for the upcoming European RMR event, which is scheduled for February 22-23.
