Vitality and The MongolZ advance to semi-finals of Esports World Cup 2025
Second playday of the Esports World Cup 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournament, which is taking place in Saudi Arabia in a Single Elimination format, has ended. As a result, four more teams left the competition.
In the first round of the bracket, Virtus.pro lost to MOUZ (13:6 on Inferno, 4:13 on Mirage, 10:13 on Overpass), while G2 were defeated by Falcons (9:13 on Ancient, 7:13 on Train). The losing teams shared 9th-16th place and earned $20,000 in prize money, while the winners advanced to the quarter-finals.
In addition, the first semi-finalists of the event were determined today: in the matches for advancing to the top 4, Vitality bested TYLOO (13:4 on Inferno, 13:8 on Nuke), while The MongolZ got the better of 3DMAX (13:9 on Ancient, 9:13 on Inferno, 13:8 on Nuke).
