ASTRA moves to VALORANT

25-year-old French esports athlete Mayline-Joy "ASTRA" Champliaud has officially announced her departure from the pro Counter-Strike 2 scene and transition to VALORANT. ASTRA posted this on her X social media account, revealing that she is searching for a team.

With the recent news of female CS falling apart and the lack of tournaments coming up, I find myself missing practice and competition. Therefore, I made the decision to transition to Valorant and to put my focus into a growing scene.

My goals are the same as in CS, I only want to compete for the top, become the best version I can be for both myself and my teammates and make great memories along the way. This wasn't an easy decision to make but I'm in a happy place, I'm very passionate and committed to what I set out to do and this is a challenge that I would love to take on.

I'm very excited for this new chapter of my life and I just can't wait for it to move forward!
I would like to mention that I haven't played the game as much and am aware that I lack a lot of knowledge and playtime, however I do have experience from CS that would transfer into Valorant.
I am hardworking and determined to learn with the adequate ressources that can be given to me in a short time.

Notably, in May of this year, the German esports organization BIG suspended its women's Counter-Strike 2 division, of which ASTRA was a part. BIG EQUIPA was named the best female Counter-Strike 2 squad of 2025 by the authoritative portal HLTV.org, while ASTRA herself was chosen the Female Player of the Year.

Champliaud has been competing on the pro Counter-Strike 2 scene since 2018, earning $39,000 during that time.
