s1mple on why BLAST Premier World Final 2021 to take place with no audience

Alexandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, a player of NAVI, during a live stream on Alexey "PCH3LK1N" Pchelkin’s Twitch channel opened up about why BLAST Premier World Final 2021 will be held in a studio format without a live audience. According to him, the tournament operator did not get to make a reservation for the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, as they originally planned to organize the event in one of the Arab countries.

I knew it for a long time. They wanted to hold a tournament in some Arab country, but in the end everything changed, and they did not manage to reserve the arena where we played [BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021], the Royal Arena. It had to be booked in advance, so they were simply late.

Earlier, BLAST stated that the reason for a studio format of World Final 2021 was the unfavorable epidemiological situation in the world.

The final championship of 2021 by BLAST will take place from December 14 to 19 in Copenhagen, where 8 teams will compete for a total prize pool of $1 million. The tournament will feature NAVI, Heroic, Vitality, NIP, Astralis, G2, Gambit and Liquid.
