Sashi signs alexsomfan

31-year-old Danish esports athlete Alexander "alexsomfan" Nielsen has found a new team after departing Astralis – Nielsen will continue his career in Sashi. The Danish club officially announced this via its X social media account.

alexsomfan has taken over as an assistant coach at Sashi – the esports athlete will work with the main and youth Counter-Strike 2 rosters of the organization.

Note that alexsomfan had previously represented the Danish club – from May 2022 to January 2023, Alexander competed for the team as a player. In 2023, he ended his career as a CS pro player.

alexsomfan had been working with Astralis since September 2024, while before that he had been coaching the club's youth squad for over a year.

A month ago, Lukas "Beccie" Bauder Balcells became the newest member of Sashi's starting five, as the organization bought the 19-year-old Dane from Preasy. Sashi currently occupies 76th place in Valve's world ranking.
