smooya and Aunkere team up again for Major qualifiers

Former Benched Heroes roster members Owen "smooya" Butterfield and Eugene "Aunkere" Karyat, who tried to qualify for the previous Major, will make another attempt to make it to the prestigious event. They assembled a new roster to participate in the qualifying cycle for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, the British esports athlete announced on Twitter.

Joining smooya and Aunkere will be Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss, who recently departed Falcons, ex-Finest player Niclas "PlesseN" Plessen, as well as former K23's in-game leader Vladislav "FinigaN" Usov. The team is now in search of a coach.

Last fall, Butterfield and Karyat successfully qualified for the RMR tournament together with the Benched Heroes mix, however, due to Aunkere and Buğra "Calyx" Arkın not having visas, they could not come to Malta, where the final stage of qualifiers for IEM Rio Major 2022 took place. Subsequently, the composition ceased to exist.

smooya and Aunkere's new roster will start their way to BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 with the open qualifiers for the European RMR tournament, which are set to be held on February 13-15.

The following are the members of the as-yet-unnamed roster put together by smooya and Aunkere:

Owen "smooya" Butterfield
Eugene "Aunkere" Karyat
Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss
Niclas "PlesseN" Plessen
Vladislav "FinigaN" Usov
