trace leaves Astralis as free agent

Danish coach Martin "trace" Heldt has announced via Twitter that he has parted ways with Astralis.

Heldt began looking for a new team as a free agent. The specialist emphasized that he would not make a hasty decision, instead opting to carefully consider all options.

trace joined Astralis in January 2022 as a coach of the academy squad. Already in March, he was promoted to the main team as a temporary replacement for Alexander "ave" Holdt, who was banned from Valve-sponsored tournaments, and in May he became a full-fledged coach.

Under trace's guidance, Astralis' best result was a 3-4th place finish at IEM Cologne 2022. In the second half of the year, the Danes did not achieve any significant results and failed to qualify for IEM Rio Major 2022, resulting in the coach being benched.
