OverDrive: "Boombl4 seems to have gotten in shape now and is ready for some action as a rifler"
Insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov said on his Telegram channel that former NAVI's in-game leader Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov might continue his career as a rifler. According to him, the Russian esports athlete was on the shortlist for the BetBoom project, which did not come to fruition, precisely as a rifler, while IGLing duties were to be fulfilled by Aleksei "NickelBack" Trofimov.
In BetBoom, Boombl4 was supposed to be a rifler, not a captain. NickelBack would have been the captain. The point is, if Boombl4 is to join some team, it's far from certain that he will be an IGL. He seems to have gotten in shape now and is ready for some action as a rifler.
Earlier the rumor on social media had it that the organization BetBoom had put its plans of entering the CS:GO pro scene on hold. According to several sources, the new roster was being built around Mikhailov as a key player.
On January 1, Boombl4 officially announced the expiry of his contract with NAVI. In his tweet, he said that he became a free agent.
