Report: Imperial to replace fer with JOTA from MIBR
Eminent esports athlete Fernando "fer" Alvarenga will not play for Imperial next year, Dust2.com.br reports. According to journalists, the organization will replace the player with MIBR's Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian.
The journalists' report notes that Imperial and MIBR have been negotiating JOTA's transfer over the past two weeks. Currently, the clubs are close to a successful completion of the deal.
Dust2.com.br authors learned that besides JOTA, the shortlist of possible options for strengthening Imperial also included B4 player Henrique "t9rnay" Menacho, but the esports athlete from MIBR is a priority target. Imperial wanted to sign Willian last year to replace Lincoln "fnx" Lau, however, the team was eventually joined by Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes.
JOTA has been with MIBR since the end of 2021. Since then, he has established himself as the team's statistical leader, while in the summer of this year, when Adriano "WOOD7" Cerato left the roster, he took over in-game leadership duties.
If JOTA is to join Imperial, the Brazilian lineup will look as follows:
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
Ricardo "boltz" Prass
Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo
Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian
