FURIA, HEROIC, and Astralis advance to IEM Cologne 2025 group stage

Third and final day of the first stage of IEM Cologne 2025 has ended, determining the final participants of the competition group stage.

FURIA defeated Astralis in the upper bracket. In the lower bracket, Astralis knocked out paiN, HEROIC bested Virtus.pro, 3DMAX prevailed over TYLOO, while Liquid got the better of FlyQuest.

The winners advanced to the group stage. The losing teams got relegated from the event. The squads that did not win a single match in Play-In (BIG, MIBR, Complexity, and B8) shared 21st-24th places and received $2,500 each; teams that reached the second round of the lower bracket (paiN, Virtus.pro, TYLOO and FlyQuest) secured 17th-20th places and won $4,500 each.
