daps on Liquid's goal at the Major: "Getting revenge on Vitality for EPL would be probably number one"

Liquid's coach Damian "daps" Steele spoke about the team's goals for IEM Rio Major 2022 in an interview with the club's press office. According to the specialist, first of all, Liquid want to take revenge on Vitality for the defeat in the ESL Pro League Season 16 grand final.

Definitely getting revenge on Vitality for Pro League would be probably number one, obviously getting the chance to beat NAVI or FaZe would be awesome as well but after losing that long best-of-five final versus Vitality it would be nice to get some revenge on them.

daps added that before the start of the Major, he has no doubts about his team's readiness in terms of the game on the server. His concerns have to do only with possible mental issues.

Personally, it again comes down to our mental game. I'm not too concerned about in-game things because so far we've always come to a sort of agreement on how we want to play the maps, our preparation and everything. So I'm very confident in that, it just comes down to our mental fortitude and if we are able to keep it up as we have been for the majority of the time I've been here. If we are able to keep a good head space and stay focused even if we are losing badly, we can go to the final.

Liquid will start IEM Rio Major 2022 from the Legends Stage, facing MOUZ in their first match. The confrontation is scheduled to kick off tomorrow, November 5, at 17:00 MSK.
