FACEIT launches separate FPL hub for South America

FACEIT has announced via its official website the expansion of FACEIT Pro League through the creation of a separate hub for players from South America. FPL South America will offer a monthly prize pool of $12,500: $10,000 in the FPL and $2,500 in the FPL Challenger.

The press release states that 80 of the best South American players immediately received an invitation to the FPL, while 40 people were invited to the FPL Challenger. In the future, the list of FPL-C members will grow on the basis of open qualifiers, with the two best players for the month getting a chance to prove themselves in the FPL.

The organizers said that the number of FPL participants would constantly be changing. Individual esports athletes will be excluded or invited based on their results in national and international tournaments, as well as feedback from other FACEIT Pro League players.

South America became the third region to get a separate hub in the FACEIT Pro League. A similar matchmaking system for professionals and promising young esports athletes exists in Europe and North America.
