Aunkere reveals financial details of Benched Heroes' talks with two clubs

Member of the Benched Heroes roster Eugene "Aunkere" Karyat in a live stream on his Twitch channel shared the details of negotiations with unnamed clubs that are interested in signing the team after qualifying for the Europe RMR. According to the Russian, one organization offered the players a salary of more than $5,000 a month, but at the moment it is unknown whether this cooperation will be possible.

So far, no news about the organization. The organization from the UK took a break. They offered very good money. Just so you know... I don’t know whether to say it or not... Well, a very good amount of money per person for sponsorship, but now everything is either paused or canceled.

I was in talks with other sponsors – one big global organization. On Monday I'll find out more information about whether it is ready to sponsor us. If not, we will play under the Benched Heroes tag. How much was on offer? More than $5K per person. If the deal goes through, they will pay us in advance and we will brand our team in line with their tag. This is the first thing. Secondly, if we qualify for the Major, a part of the income from team stickers will go to them. Thirdly, we will have all their sponsors on our social media. For this, they offered us a very good amount for each player.

The Benched Heroes roster was assembled for taking part in the open qualifiers for the upcoming RMR event. The team managed to qualify for the tournament through the last of four qualifiers.

Shortly after securing a spot in the qualifying event for IEM Rio Major 2022, it was reported that some British club was interested in Benched Heroes. According to Karyat, the team's AWPer Owen "smooya" Butterfield and in-game leader Rodion "fear" Smyk were engaged in the negotiations with the organization.
