NIP buy out Aleksib from G2

NIP have announced via their official Twitter account the signing of former G2's in-game leader Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen.

In the Ninjas roster, the newcomer replaces Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora who was benched after three years with the team. Aleksib also takes over the IGLing duties fom previous captain Hampus "hampus" Poser.

NIP's press release emphasizes that after the signing of Virolainen, the squad will from now on use English as the language for communication. This will happen for the first time since the Swedish club has been around in the CS:GO pro scene.

Aleksib was put on the transfer list in mid-July. G2 made this decision following the poor first half of this year, during which the team was not able to achieve any significant results. Subsequently, Virolainen's spot in the European roster was taken by Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen from Copenhagen Flames.

NIP announced the reshuffle shortly after being eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 16, where they lost to fnatic, Vitality and Team Spirit in Group A. The club's COO Jonas "calc" Gundersen noted in an address to the fans that lately there have been signs of stagnation, which is the reason for the lineup change.

The revamped NIP roster has just over three weeks to prepare for their next tournament, which will be the Europe RMR event. The regional qualifier for IEM Rio Major 2022 will take place from October 4 to 9.

 NIP's current lineup is:

 Hampus "hampus" Poser
 Fredrik "REZ" Sterner
 Patrick "es3tag" Hansen
 Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin
 Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen

 Daniel "djL" Narancic (coach)
