kane joins EC Kyiv as coach on trial

EC Kyiv have announced on social media the appointment of Mikhaylo "kane" Blagin to the position of head coach. The specialist joined the team on a trial period, the duration of which is unknown.

The club's press release states that the previous coach Roman "WOLF" Mikhaylenko will work together with kane. WOLF will also study young Ukrainian players for the possible creation of an academy squad.

Blagin is best known for his times with NAVI, which he coached from 2017 to 2019. After parting ways with the Black-and-Yellow, he had a futile attempt of coaching The Incas and several times acted as an analyst for Russian-speaking studios covering big tournaments.

The information about kane joining EC Kyiv became known yesterday, August 28, from the team's roster on the ESEA platform, which also features Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk. This news appeared amid the ongoing rebuilding phase of the team.

Following the removals of Vadim "Flarich" Karetin and Oleksandr "Smash" Turchyn from the starting five, the Ukrainians lost to PALOMA in the group stage of CCT Central Europe Series 1. The main trio played alongside Smash and little-known Vladislav "Kvem" Korol, whose status in the team remains unknown.

 EC Kyiv's current lineup is:

 Pavlo "uQlutzavr" Bilov
 Yaroslav "byr9" Buryak
 Kyrylo "s4ltovsk1yy" Lytvynov

 Mikhaylo "kane" Blagin (head coach)
 Roman 'WOLF' Mikhaylenko (coach)
