Stewie2K goes inactive and becomes Evil Geniuses' streamer

Evil Geniuses' in-game leader Jake "Stewie2K" Yip has announced on his Twitter account the suspension of his competitive career. The American will continue cooperating with EG as a CS:GO and Valorant streamer.

Yip did not explain why he stepped away from the competition. The player emphasized that his future remains uncertain.

Stewie2K has represented Evil Geniuses since the beginning of this year. Under his guidance, the roster was not able to make it to the majority of big events, including PGL Major Antwerp 2022. The only top tournament with EG taking part was ESL Pro League Season 15, which the North Americans attended as the league's partner team and finished in last place.

The information about Yip's going inactive came a few hours after insider Guillaume "neL" Ratier had reported on the upcoming reshuffle in Evil Geniuses. According to the source, besides the captain, the club intends to remove William "RUSH" Wierzba from the starting five and replace the duo of Americans with Kévin "misutaaa" Rabier from Vitality and Sanzhar "neaLaN" Ishkakov from K23.

Current  Evil Geniuses lineup:

 Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte
 Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov
 Timothy "autimatic" Ta
 William "RUSH" Wierzba
