AMANEK released by G2
G2 have announced that François "AMANEK" Delaunay has been released from his contract with the organization. The announcement was published on the European club's Twitter account.
AMANEK has represented G2 since the beginning of 2019 when the club had a full-French roster. Subsequently, he retained his place in the international team, in the camp of which he played until the end of 2021.
With Delaunay on board, G2 have not won a single big tournament. At the same time, the team reached the grand final at PGL Major Antwerp 2022, IEM Katowice 2020 and IEM Cologne 2021, which, combined with regular participation in the playoffs of various events, kept them among the leaders of the professional scene.
AMANEK was removed from the G2 starting five as a result of the reshuffle that the organization held at the beginning of 2022. Since then, he has been inactive and showed up only in three matches as G2's standin at ESL Pro League Season 15.
Recently, insider Guillaume "neL" Ratier reported that AMANEK's next team will be LDLC, where the experienced Frenchman is expected to compete alongside his younger compatriots.
