Team Spirit and FURIA advance to BLAST Open Porto 2026 playoffs

First round of the lower bracket matches in Group A at BLAST Open Porto 2026 has concluded, with two teams getting eliminated.

DENDELE lost to Aurora (7:13 on Cache, 12:16 on Mirage), while paiN got defeated by NAVI (9:13 on Nuke, 11:13 on Mirage). The losers finished 13th-16th and earned $5,000 in prizes, while the winners advanced to the next round of the losers' round.

Furthermore, the first squads in the final stage of the engine were determined today. In the second round of the upper bracket in Group A, Team Spirit defeated G2 (13:6 on Dust2, 13:9 on Cache), while FURIA bested M80 (16:13 on Cache, 13:5 on Dust2). The losers dropped to the lower bracket, while the winners will face off on August 31 in a match for a place directly in the playoff semi-finals (both teams have already secured places in the next stage of the competition).
