Report: Imperial target chelo to replace fnx. MIBR not willing to let the player go

Imperial are interested in signing MIBR player Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes, who they are considering as the main candidate to replace Lincoln "fnx" Lau, Dust2.com.br reports.

According to journalists, the organizations are currently in talks over the transfer, but due to MIBR's reluctance to release the player, the negotiations are difficult. It was specified that the club would be interested only in case of a very good financial compensation.

As previously noted in the DRAFT5 report, besides chelo, MIBR's Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian, paiN's Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt, and Sharks' Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves were among candidates to replace fnx. Dust2.com.br sources reported that Imperial have not made concrete offers to acquire JOTA and Lucaozy. At the same time, biguzera has recently stated that he would not leave his current team.

The information about Imperial's intentions to change the roster came after a series of unsuccessful tournaments for the Brazilian team. In May, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and company finished PGL Major Antwerp 2022 in 9-11th place, after which they could not make it further than the early stages at any of the next five tournaments.
