Team Spirit coach comments on sniper replacement

On the club’s official website, Team Spirit coach Sergey "hally" Shavaev commented on the removal of Abdul "degster" Gasanov from the main team. The Russian specialist said that the decision to part ways with the sniper was accelerated by non-game factors, but nevertheless was timely.

I want to thank Abdul for his work, we have achieved good results and built a strong team. I am glad that we were able to use his strengths and always find a compromise that helps the team to progress despite the different views on the game. The parting was not an easy decision which was hastened by non-game factors, but I am sure that now is the right time for it. An interesting period is now coming for us: we will choose the sniper based on our game structure, our ideal candidate is more of a team player and someone who is willing to play both passively and aggressively. 

On June 11, Team Spirit announced the decision to put degster on the transfer list. According to the official information, the reason for this decision was the different views of the parties on the organization of the training process and the future of the team as a whole.

The new Team Spirit’s AWPer is expected to be announced before June 22, when the Russian team will play their next matches. According to Team Spirit CEO Nikita Chukalin, the short list of potential candidates for the sniper role has already been completed.
