OverDrive: Russian players will not play at IEM Dallas 2022 due to visa issues

Russian players will not be able to take part in IEM Dallas 2022 due to the impossibility of obtaining American visas, insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov shared on his Telegram channel.

IEM Dallas 2022 will be held from May 31 to June 5. The prize pool of the tournament, which will features 16 teams, amounts to $250,000.

At the time of publication of the material, the organizers have yet to announce the complete list of participants. Six ESL partner teams, six winners of regional European, North American, South American and Oceanian qualifiers, as well as four squads invited based on the ESL rating, are the only confirmed participants so far.

IEM Dallas 2022 will be the first big international LAN tournament to be held in North America since 2019. The last tier-1 championship in the region was ESL One New York 2019, which took place in September 2019 and concluded with the victory of Evil Geniuses.
