HUNDEN shared the team's tactics with one of Astralis' employees
Former Heroic coach Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen, in an interview with sport.tv2.dk, stated that the team he passed the strategies of his ex-roster to was Astralis. An unknown recipient of the information was an employee from the Danish organization.
According to HUNDEN, he was pushed to take this step by the conflict with the management of Heroic that for a long time would not let him go.
There is one person from the management who began to threaten me and treat me badly. I did not want to be around him, so in April-May of this year I made it clear that I no longer wanted to work there because of this person. I suggested that we consider the options for parting. I had to start from scratch, but they didn't let me do it.
I have been offered a lot of things: improving the terms of my contract, an apartment, a car, and even becoming a co-owner of the organization. I understood it quite clearly that I didn't want to be there anymore, and maintained my intentions. But then the rhetoric has changed, and I began to get aggressive responses.
HUNDEN added that the Heroic's management subsequently prohibited him from contacting anybody from the team. After that, he decided to close access to the folder with tactics on the cloud storage and sent the information to Astralis.
I shared the information because I was basically kicked out of Heroic. I thought I was doing the right thing back then since it could not harm the team.
The investigation by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC), who studied the conflict between HUNDEN and Heroic, resulted in a two-year ban for the latter.
