High Coast release CS:GO team

The Swedish organization High Coast has announced the end of the cooperation with its CS:GO lineup. The club explained in an official statement that it was forced to take this step because it was experiencing funding problems.

High Coast has entered the CS:GO professional scene earlier this year by signing the former roster of North American team New England Whalers. The team's biggest accomplishments in the past four months have been winning several regional championships, as well as a 3-4 place finish at the DreamHack Open March 2021 and ESEA MDL S36 for North America.

Ben "ben1337" Smith and Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue have been granted free agents statuses after parting ways with High Coast , while Brandon "bew" Roberts and Rodrigo "RCF" Figueiredo returned from a loan to the Yeah. A few days earlier, Ian "motm" Hardy, who had been on trial since late March, has left the team.

The former High Coast lineup:

  •  Ben "ben1337" Smith
  •  Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue
  •  Brandon "bew" Roberts
  • Rodrigo "RCF" Figueiredo
  •  Ian "motm" Hardy
  •  Joseph "Muenster" Lima (coach)
