Daps and TenZ Reportedly to Replace Golden and Vice on Cloud9

Cloud9 plans to bench both Daniel "vice" Kim and Maikil "Golden" Kunda Selim, and is considering Damian "daps" Steele and Tyson "TenZ" Ngo as replacements, according to a report published Tuesday by Rush B Media.

NRG Esports benched daps June 11, while TenZ is currently playing as a stand-in for ATK.

Cloud9's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster has been in flux since the talent at its core began leaving in 2018. Beginning with Jake "Stewie2k" Yip's departure in March of that year, top players including Robin "flusha" Rönnquist and Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey have also left the team.

While the team held its spot as a top contender for much of that period, the instability has begun to show its effects. Cloud9 lost to New Identity and The Quest in the North American closed qualifier for the Berlin Minor, failing to qualify for the Major for the first time in two years.

Cloud9 responded to Rush B Media's report, stating, "We haven't signed anyone yet, will confirm with you if we have more news." The organization did not deny the content of the report.
