MAJ3R departs Aurora's starting five
Esports organization Aurora has announced further changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster: the club has benched IGL Engine "MAJ3R" Küpeli.
According to the official statement, MAJ3R "has decided to take a break to devote more time to his family". However, he will remain with the organization. "We will announce his new role at a later date", the club said in a statement.
The 35-year-old Turkish esports athlete has represented Aurora since April of last year, having previously spent several years in Eternal Fire. Küpeli's average rating over the past three months is 0.94 (im 34 maps). His replacement is still unknown.
Aurora currently sits 8th among the world's top Counter-Strike 2 teams according to Valve. The team placed 3rd-4th at IEM Cologne Major 2026. The organization also recently benched coach Sezgin "Fabre" Kalayci.
