Metizport to disband academy – project to be put on pause
Swedish esports club Metizport has announced the imminent disbandment of its Counter-Strike 2 youth squad. On May 31 of this year, Metizport X players will have their contracts expired and will all become free agents. The official announcement was published on the organization's X social media account.
With contracts ending on May 31st, we have reached an agreement with everyone involved in our Academy team, Metizport X, to not re-sign and release the entire roster.
The team will play out the remainder of Good Game-ligaen Spring 2025, but as of June 1st all individuals will officially be free agents.
Our Counter-Strike Academy project will be paused afterwards, as we need to re-evaluate its structure and capacity in the organisation. We want to thank all the individuals in the team - no matter where you go now, you will always have been part of Metizport and played a role in our uprise as an organisation!
Currently, Metizport's youth roster does not have any VRS rating points and is not included in HLTV.org world ranking.
Metizport X are now:
Jonathan "zame" Nyhagen
Emil "ZapR" Marcussen
August "Straxy" Canavan
Max "kronkzz" Gustafsson
Marcus "macke" Hermundstad
Patrik "pakesZ" Rozsos (coach)
