RED Canids bench two players after MRQ failure

Brazilian esports club RED Canids has announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster after a poor showing in the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 regional qualifier.

The organization benched Henrique "HEN1" Teles and João "felps" Vasconcellos. "From the outset, the focus was on a place in the Major and we know that this was also your focus. We tried, but we still didn't qualify and we thank you both for your dedication and commitment", the official announcement claims.

Teles has been with RED Canids since August of last year, while Vasconcellos joined the squad in January of 2025. HEN1 has an average rating of 1.09 (70 maps) over the past three months; felps recorded an average rating of 1.12 (71 maps). It is not yet known which players will fill the vacant positions in the roster.

Note that last month, 21-year-old Brazilian esports athlete André "drop" Abreu became the newest member of RED Canids' Counter-Strike 2 roster. He replaced Marcelo "nyezin" Ramos as the team's IGL. RED Canids currently occupy 85th place in Valve's world ranking.

 RED Canids are now:

 Carlos "venomzera" Eduardo
 Marcelo "coldzera" David
 Marcelo "nyezin" Ramos

 Pedro "betinho" Umberto (coach)
