PGL Astana 2025 qualifier dates announced

Tournament operator PGL announced details of the qualifiers for the upcoming PGL Astana 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournament.

Earlier, the organizers revealed the list of invitees – invites went to 12 squads, including Team Spirit, G2, NAVI, etc. Another four slots will be secured by the winners of regional competitions in Europe, Asia, North and South America.

Each region will host four open qualifiers, with Asia divided into four subregions (China, MENA, Oceania, and Rest of Asia). By default, eight rosters from the open qualifiers will advance to the closed stage, but this number may change if the invited teams refuse to participate and there are no replacements for them.

All open qualifiers will play out in a Single Elimination BO1 format (BO3 quarter-finals and semi-finals). The dates for the PGL Astana 2025 qualifiers look as follows:

Open Qualifier #1 - March 14-15
Open Qualifier #2 - March 16-17
Open Qualifier #3 - March 21-22
Open Qualifier #4 - March 23-24
Closed Qualifier Round #1 - March 27-30
Closed Qualifier Round #2 - March 31-April 1

PGL Astana 2025 will take place from May 10 to May 18, 2025 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The total prize pool of the event will amount to $1.25 million, half of which will go to players and half to clubs.
