Valve change rules for paying CS2 skin authors

Counter-Strike 2 developers have updated the user agreement for content authors for the Steam Workshop. The changes concern the procedure for compensation for selling skins. Data-miner Maxim "Gabe Follower" Poletaev reported this via his Telegram channel.

New workshop agreement for CS2 introduces a new compensation model for items accepted into the Armory. By accepting the new terms, you agree to allow Valve to add your item to the Armory. In return, you'll receive a per-diem payment for each day your item is available in the Armory. This per-diem payment replaces any revenue share or other compensation described in the Workshop Supplemental Terms. Previously, Workshop contributors received a percentage of sales, not a fixed fee, similar to the payments for community maps.

Earlier, the Counter-Strike 2 developers also made a number of adjustments to the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) system – the changes concern the invitation requirements, Wildcard teams and subregions. Details can be found in our article.
