friberg retires as player and becomes coach

Renowned Swedish esports athlete Adam "friberg" Friberg has officially announced his transition to the role of coach in 2025. 32-year-old Friberg noted that he has extensive experience in Counter-Strike and announced that he is looking for a team for the next season. He wrote about this via his X social media account.

Transitioning from player to coach for 2025. With my history in top teams, including MVP at a Major and IGLing for OpTic & Dignitas, I know what it takes to win. My focus: leadership, communication, and core fundamentals at CS's highest level. Need a head coach? Let's talk on DM!

Friberg's previous team was Dignitas – he commented for it from January 2020 to May 2022, after which he went inactive. Friberg also previously represented HEROIC, OpTic, NIP and other clubs. Over the course of his career as a Counter-Strike pro, which kicked off back in 2009, the Swede has earned $432,000 in prize money.
