doto retires as player

28-year-old Finnish esports athlete Joonas "doto" Forss officially announced the end of his career as a Counter-Strike pro player. He wrote about this via his X social media account. Forss commented on his decision as follows.

After a long time of consideration I have made the decision to retire as a player. This decision doesn't come easy but I'm not ending my career with sadness but with a smile on my face remembering all the great memories. I wish to thank all my previous teammates.

With that said I have decide to pursue coaching as my passion for the game has not faded. I feel its a role I could show my true potential in. I am very curious about sports psychology and I am tackling on some University courses regarding that.

Doto began competing on the l Counter-Strike pro scene in 2015. The esports athlete represented teams such as KOVA, HAVU, ENCE, JANO and others. He has been inactive for the last six months. Over the course of his entire career of a player, he has earned over $100,000 in prize money.
