1WIN kicks three players and a coach

Esports organization 1WIN revealed large-scale changes in its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The announcement was published on 1WIN's Telegram channel.

The club benched three players and put them up for transfer: Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov, Timur "buster" Tulepov and Boris "Ryujin" Kim. Moreover, coach Aset "Solaar" Sembiyev departed the team as a free agent. Thus, only two players remained on the roster – Vladislav "lattykk" Vydrin and Abay "HObbit" Khassenov.

The organization's Operations Manager Vladimir "Kayos" Ivanov commented on this decision as follows.

When forming the roster, we decided to fully trust coach's authority and experience. Unfortunately, by the middle of the season it became clear that the squad was not developing at a pace that would satisfy us. Now, looking back, it is clear that replacing Jyo was not the best idea.

At the RMR, we saw a classic example of Murphy's law: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong". Despite all possible efforts, we were unable to solve Ryujin's visa issues and the team played at the bootcamp without a full lineup. That obviously had a negative impact on motivation and performance.

Now we are looking at young players who are passionate about the game. CS2 is a new game, and the younger generation adapts much faster. We have Abay, who is super experienced and ready to lead the youth. Therefore, we are ready to take another step back to reach the result that will satisfy us. Even if it not be as quickly as we would like.

Note that 1WIN failed to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Europe RMR – the squad did not win a single match in the closed qualifier. As of now, the team occupies 80th place in HLTV ranking.

 1WIN are now:

 Vladislav "lattykk" Vydrin
 Abay "HObbit" Khassenov
