Into the Breach CEO reveals player contract lenghts

Sam "SlayTheMinotaur" Macedonio, CEO of the British esports club Into the Breach, has revealed lenghts of the contracts that the organization has signed with members of its Counter-Strike 2 roster.

Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas' contract turned out to be the shortest one (10 months), while Hristiyan "REDSTAR" Pironkov's one – the longest (25 months). The full list of Into the Breach's players/coaches and their contracts looks as follows:

  •  juanflatroo – 24 month, begun 13.06.2024;
  •  sinnopsyy – 24 month, begun 12.06.2024;
  •  Keoz – 24 month, begun 05.06.2024;
  •  smooya – 12 month, begun 01.06.2024;
  •  REDSTAR – 25 month, begun 01.08.2024;
  •  BOROS – 10 month, begun 10.07.2024;
  •  Juve – 12 month, begun 15.06.2024;
  •  kRYSTAL – 24 month, begun 15.06.2024;
  •  rallen – 13 month, begun 1.12.2023.

Macedonio explained that the contract duration is determined upon signing based on the wishes of the player and the club and on average amounts to about two years. At the same time, the conditions of termination, buyout, etc. may differ from contract to contract – depending on which party had more "leverage" at the time of signing.

According to SlayTheMinotaur, when benched, the player continues to receive from 30% to 70% of the salary stipulated in the contract (usually 50%). At the same time, the parties maintain obligations to each other.

Note that last month, 23-year-old Bulgarian esports athlete Hristiyan "REDSTAR" Pironkov became the new player of the Into the Breach Counter-Strike 2 roster. He replaced Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas, whom the organization benched today.
