BLAST bans Snap Tap at its tournaments

Tournament operator BLAST has officially banned the use of the Snap Tap feature, available to owners of Razer keyboards, and similar scripts at its Counter-Strike 2 tournaments.

At the same time, the so-called Jump-throw scripts were not banned – BLAST's rulebook still allows players to use them. The new rule will come into effect at BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024, which kicks off tomorrow.

Note that today Counter-Strike 2 developers made an official statement in which they banned the use of the Snap Tap feature, as well as various kinds of scripts that offer a similar effect, on official servers. Since BLAST matches are held on third-party servers, it is not yet clear how the company will monitor the implementation of the ban.

BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 will be held online from August 21 to 25 with the participation of 16 teams. The squads will compete for $135,000 in prize money, as well as two tickets to the final tournament of the BLAST Premier fall season.
