joel: "Makes no sense on why I would cheat now when I finally have received a chance to redeem myself"

One of the developers of Akros anti-cheat shared new details about the situation with Joel "joel" Holmlund's ban. According to him, the illegal software that was found on the computer of the Swedish esports athlete includes elements of Wallhack, Aimbot and Triggerbot.

If configured correctly, the cheat is almost impossible to notice with a naked eye. The program is freely available, it runs before the operating system starts and can only be disabled by rebooting the PC. Akros' representative also added that such a cheat is difficult to detect, so joel could have used it before August 4.

The 19-year-old himself categorically denies his guilt and claims that he has never used third-party programs. joel suggested that his ban was somehow connected with Akros' update that was released on the same day.

Makes no sense on why I would cheat now when I finally have received a chance to redeem myself. I am more driven than ever to play Counter-Strike and compete. My goal has been to reach the top level of the scene and thanks to all the resources I’ve been given in this team, it makes no sense for me to throw it all away by cheating.

I hope to resolve this matter since I've never cheated in a match, despite what some people claim. I still love to play the game, and I hope that's what I can continue to do in some way.

Akros' representative added that the ban was issued permanently and is not subject to reconsideration. Thus, the esports athlete will not be able to compete at any tournaments where Akros anti-cheat is used.

Earlier, BC.Game released another official statement regarding the situation with joel. BC.Game's management decided not to return joel to the starting five, but instead to start looking for a permanent replacement.
