BC.Game to find replacement for joel – player will not return to starting five
BC.Game has released another official statement regarding the situation with Joel "joel" Holmlund, who was benched a couple of days ago.
It claims that the club received formal confirmation from the developers of Akros anti-cheat that the Swedish esports athlete was banned for using illegal software before the start of the match against B8. At the same time, Akros representatives have no evidence that Joel could have cheated in other matches.
As a result, BC.Game's management decided not to return joel to the roster, but instead to start looking for a permanent replacement for him. The club promised to reveal a new team member in the near future.
According to BC.Game's statement, Holmlund himself categorically denies being guilty. He promised to give his version of events in a comment to HLTV on August 7.
Note that on August 4, 19-year-old Swedish esports athlete joel was banned by Akros anti-cheat during an official match against B8 at the CCT Season 2 Europe Series 7 online tournament. The organizers disqualified the team from the event. Soon after, the BC.Game roster was suspended from participating in two more competitions.
BC.Game are now:
Guy "anarkez" Trachtman
Aleksandar "CacaNito" Kjulukoski
Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson
Luca "pr1metapz" Voigt
Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács (coach)
