OG finds replacement for HeavyGod
Rumors have been confirmed: Thomas "Thomas" Utting officially became part of OG's Counter-Strike 2 roster. The British esports athlete joined OG as a stand-in. The organization announced this via its X social media account.
Utting replaced Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko, who in turn moved to Cloud9. In the team Thomas will take on the role of IGL, which was previously occupied by Nils "k1to" Gruhne.
Note that Thomas' previous team was 5W – he competed for it in May and June of this year, after which the players decided to part ways with the club due to its owners scamming them, and the squad eventually disbanded.
With the updated starting five, OG will debut at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 tournament, which will be held in Copenhagen from July 26 to August 4 with the participation of 16 rosters. The event will feature a $190,000 prize pool.
OG are now:
Maciej "F1KU" Miklas
Nils "k1to" Gruhne
Bram "Nexius" Campana
Mădălin-Andrei "MoDo" Mirea
Thomas "Thomas" Utting (stand-in)
Lambert "Lambert" Prigent (coach)
