Cloud9 officially announces new CS2 roster

American esports club Cloud9 has officially revealed its new Counter-Strike 2 roster. The announcement was published on the organization's X social media account.

As expected, Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko, Kaisar "ICY" Faiznurov and Timofey "interz" Yakushin became the new members of the team. Martynenko has been competing for OG since the beginning of this year; Faiznurov recently departed AMKAL; Yakushin has been on TSM's bench since February 2024.

Thus, only two players remained in Cloud9 from the previous roster, namely Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov and Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov. Note that in April of this year Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, Abay "HObbit" Khassenov and Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy parted ways with the team.

Cloud9's updated starting five will debut at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 tournament, which will be held in Copenhagen from July 26 to August 4 with the participation of 16 squads. The event will feature a prize pool of $190,000.

Cloud9's possible lineup looks as follows:

 Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov
 Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhaylov
 Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko
 Kaisar "ICY" Faiznurov
 Timofey "interz" Yakushin

 Konstantin "groove" Pikiner (coach)
