Official: malbsMd joins G2

Former player of American roster M80, Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa has officially joined G2's Counter-Strike 2 squad. The announcement was published on the X social media.

Samayoa replaced Nemanja "nexa" Isaković, who was benched by the European club in mid-June. According to media reports, G2 could have paid a six-figure sum for the transfer of the 21-year-old esports athlete from Guatemala.

malbsMd has been competing for M80 since July of last year, while he previously represented LOS, TeamOne and 00Nation. At tournaments in 2024, he recorded an average rating of 1.32 – this is the best result on his previous team.

Earlier, insider and scout Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov reported that G2 could make two replacements in its CS2 roster. Note that the team placed last at BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 and won IEM Dallas 2024.

 G2 are now:

 Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
 Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač
 Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov
 Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen
 Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa
