Rumors: StarLadder to host second CS2 Major in 2025

According to unofficial information, tournament operator StarLadder will host the second Counter-Strike 2 Major next year. Journalist Richard Lewis reported this during his Twitch stream.

Lewis added that he himself doesn't really trust these rumors, but according to him, these are exactly the conversations that are happening everywhere behind closed doors of the Counter-Strike pro scene lately.

Note that the previous LAN tournament from StarLadder – StarSeries i-League Season 8 with a $500,000 prize pool – took place in the fall of 2019 in Turkey.

In April of this year, StarLadder officially announced its return to competitive Counter-Strike – the company announced four new events of the StarSeries series, which will take place in 2025 and 2026.

Earlier it became known that BLAST will host the first Counter-Strike 2 Major in 2025 – it will be held in Austin, Texas in June of next year. The upcoming tournament in Austin will be the second CS Major event from BLAST.
