Official: BLAST to host first 2025 Major in USA

Tournament operator BLAST will host the first Counter-Strike 2 Major of 2025 in Austin, Texas next June. This was announced during the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 broadcast.

A multi-purpose stadium Moody Center with a seating capacity of over 15,000 will be the venue of the tournament. The prize pool of the event will remain the same – $1.25 million.

BLAST Austin Major 2025 will be the first Counter-Strike Major in North America since ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018. Previously, the region also hosted MLG Columbus Major 2016 and ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017.

The upcoming competition in Austin will be the second CS Major from BLAST – the tournament operator previously hosted BLAST Paris Major 2023, which ended in May of last year with Vitality's victory.
