XomA takes over as Virtus.pro coach

Esports organization Virtus.pro revealed the appointment of Andrey "XomA" Mironenko to the position of its Counter-Strike 2 roster's coach. The announcement was published on the club's official website.

In this role, Mironenko replaced Dastan "dastan" Akbayev, who was relieved of his duties on May 30. The esports athlete from Kazakhstan had coached the Bears since the end of 2019.

Virtus.pro CEO Nikolai Petrossian told what tasks have been set for XomA:

Our roster needs a fresh perspective on the game and assistance in updating our playbook to ensure that we meet the current meta and are prepared to outplay any opponents, regardless of external factors. Moreover, the new coach will need to nurture stability within the team dynamics and develop a system of play where our stars can maximize their strengths.

Since March of last year, Mironenko has been coaching 9 Pandas, while before that he worked with Entropiq as an assistant coach for about a year and a half.

The official announcement states that XomA will start working with Virtus.pro on June 17, while the roster will be coached by Pavel "PASHANOJ" Legostaev for the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, which kicks off on June 12.
