dastan steps down as Virtus.pro coach

Virtus.pro coach Dastan "dastan" Akbayev has been relieved of his duties. The corresponding press release was published on the club's official website.

In the brief announcement, the reasons for the decision to fire the Kazakh specialist were not disclosed. At BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, team analyst Pavel "PASHANOJ" Legostaev will take on the responsibilities of a coach.

Note that earlier insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov told about Virtus.pro's intentions to replace the roster's coach. According to him, at that time the club was negotiating with Andrey "XomA" Mironenko, who has been working with 9 Pandas for the past year.

dastan had been coaching the Bears since the end of 2019. Under his guidance, the team won IEM Rio Major 2022, as well as a number of other big tournaments, including Flashpoint Season 2, cs_summit 7 and ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022.
