OverDrive: Virtus.pro look for dastan's replacement

Virtus.pro's management is considering the possibility of replacing coach Dastan "dastan" Akbayev. Insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov shared the corresponding information via his Twitter account.

According to the source, Virtus.pro is in talks with Andrey "XomA" Mironenko. The Russian specialist has been working with 9 Pandas since March 2023.

dastan has been coaching the Bears since the end of 2019. Under his guidance, the team won IEM Rio Major 2022, as well as a number of other big tournaments, including Flashpoint Season 2, cs_summit 7 and ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022.

Note that Akbayev has been working together with IGL Dzhami "Jame" Ali continuously since 2017. Under the auspices of AVANGAR, they sensationally reached the final of StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, which contributed to their further move to Virtus.pro.

In just a few days, Virtus.pro are scheduled to compete at the LAN tournament BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024. As of now, the club has not commented on the coach's possible replacement.
