CS2's average player count in April turns out to be highest since its full release

In April, the average player count in Counter-Strike 2 reached a record high since its full release – 930,749 users. This is supported by data from the analytical service Steam Charts.

At the same time, the peak player count became a record high since October of last year. Last month the game peaked at 1,618,685 concurrent players.

The recent big update is likely the reason for the improvement in player count statistics. Specifically, Dust2 replaced Overpass in the competitive map pool, Inferno received some gameplay changes, while a grenade line-up reticle and an option to toggle the left hand viewmodel were added.
