Legacy intends to sue coldzera over his current contract

Legacy's former player Marcelo "coldzera" David has found himself at the center of a legal scandal because of joining RED Canids. The Brazilian player's previous club intends to sue him over his current contract, according to a report from Dust2 Brasil.

According to the published information, David's contract with Legacy is valid until December 9, 2024, as stated by the club. Despite this, the esports athlete departed the team and signed a contract with RED Canids.

Legacy has already reached out to the tournament operators, demanding that coldzera is not allowed to be registered for other teams until the case is heard in a US court or an agreement is reached between the parties. The club has also notified Valve as the publisher of Counter-Strike 2 about the incident.

Requests of journalists and tournament operators for comment from David were met with a response from the player's lawyer, who claimed that the former has no obligations to Legacy. However, RED Canids was not mentioned in this statement.

Note that on April 26 coldzera was officially revealed as part of RED Canids. He has already debuted for the new team, having played a match against BESTIA at ESL Challenger League Season 47.
