IKLA ceases operations due to abundance of cheaters on pro scene

IKLA CEO Maksym Bednarskyi has announced via his Twitter account that the club is ceasing its operations after consulting with the board of investors. The reason for this decision was the insecurity of investments in the Counter-Strike team amid the abundance of cheaters on the professional scene.

We had meeting and consultations with board of investors. We’ve decided to temporarily cease operations of IKLA due to insecurity of investments. We cannot invest hundreds of thousands (millions if needed) of dollars in team when it’s just luck decides if you will play vs cheaters on online qualifiers or not. Teams are not secured in any way. We will take pause until 2025 to reconsider possible return to CS as a team if we will see positive changes.

Earlier, IKLA representatives publicly stated that some players were using illegal software during the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 qualifiers. Specifically, Vladislav "Kvem" Korol accused members of the PERA roster, which eventually qualified for the RMR, of cheating.

IKLA will play its last matches on January 29-30 at the open qualifier for IEM Chengdu 2024. After that, on February 1, the entire roster will be put up for transfer.

IKLA's latest lineup looks as follows:

 Vladislav "Kvem" Korol
 Alexey "Topa" Topchienko
Michał "MICHU" Müller
Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson
Adelin "adeX" Nica

Mariusz "Loord" Cybulski (coach)
